WAI and CHEUNG have been friends for decades. Both are taxi-drivers. WAI helps CHEUNG to overcome financial difficulties. WAI's eldest son YAT and CHEUNG's eldest daughter SIN are lovers. WAI and CHEUNG want them to get married as soon as possible. However YAT refuses, thinking that it is a burden. One day, they see VAT and SIN sleeping together. CHEUNG's wife YUNG has an idea, tricking YAT that SIN is bearing a baby. VAT has to promise the marriage. YAT's brother CHUNG returns after his study. SIN's sister MAY thinks that she has a chance to approach CHUNG. In the marriage banquet, YAT is shocked when he knows that SIN is not having a baby. MAY is in deep grief when she learns that CHUNG has a new girlfriend - HEI.
