Emory Parker
Emory is a filmmaker, content creator, and the co-founder of Blue Slate Films, a queer-owned, female-run production company that focuses on sleek, emotionally-driven storytelling, as well as elevating underrepresented voices. After graduating from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Emory worked as a Production Associate on NBC's Winter Olympic Games, producing and editing several of her own pieces. The team earned a coveted Olympic Golden Rings Award and was nominated for a Sports Emmy®. Emory's work has been featured in TimeOut, The New York Post, Billboard, and in countless festivals worldwide. She is also a proud recipient of the Horizon Award founded by Cassian Elwes (Mudbound, The Butler), Christine Vachon (Carol, Boys Don't Cry), and Lynette Howell Taylor (A Star is Born, Blue Valentine). In 2020, Emory was named a finalist of the Curbside Shorts Film Challenge sponsored by ReFrame, Women in Film LA, and IMDB Pro. Most recently, Emory's COVID-19 inspired PSA finished second in the Governor's #NewYorkTough competition and aired as an official ad for New York State. Emory is currently producing a handful of corporate and creative projects for Blue Slate, while developing her new LGBTQ+ digital series.
