Given the state of the hotel room, I could only imagine the state of the local market. So this was something I had to see with my own eyes. My new friend didn't speak a word of English but he is one of the most jovial characters I've met in a while. He was therefore mighty excited when it finally sunk in that I wasn't shopping for myself at this bargain Nepalese market but for him....
